The battle against radical, Islamic terror takes on many fronts.
Our president, Donald Trump, has made it his mission to eradicate this evil. As Commander in Chief, he is using all of his power to ensure that innocent lives are not lost. Not only in America, but around the world.
His efforts to impose travel restrictions is only one step to ensure terrorists do not harm civilians. Trump’s Secretary of Defense, Mattis, is taking the fight to ISIS and other groups. Under his leadership, the U.S. military is taking strategic action to reduce ISIS’s ability to wage jihad.
But there are other threats posed by RIT. Outside the United States, countless innocents are harmed everyday by terrorism. Not just in Europe and Western countries. But in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia men, women, and children suffer the brutality of this evil ideology.
So it stands to reason that a leader like Trump will do his part in ensuring radical, Islamic terror dries up at its source.
He is taking his mission to destroy RIT to the Muslim world. He will be speaking at what is considered the very heart of Islam, Saudi Arabia.
From Daily Wire:
On Tuesday, National Security Adviser H. R. McMaster gave a press briefing in which he spoke of President Trump’s trip to the Middle East, offering a glimpse of what Trump has planned, and revealing Trump would directly address the issues plaguing Islam…
The president will hold bilateral meetings with Gulf Cooperation Council leaders, as well as broader meetings with all the Gulf State leaders. In the afternoon, he will meet and have lunch with leaders of more than 50 Muslim countries; where he will deliver an inspiring yet direct speech on the need to confront radical ideology and his hopes, the president’s hopes, for a peaceful vision of Islam to dominate across the world.
He sat down with Saudi Arabia leaders in the White House just days ago:
Is such a thing possible? There are many Muslims around the world that want peace and prosperity, be they in America or elsewhere. But the strain of radicalism pushes more and more Muslims into war with their neighbors.
To untangle this mess, it’s up to Muslim leaders, both religious and political, to confront it at home. Muslim nations can do a great deal to prevent the rise of radical Islamic terrorism. They can arrest and prosecute known terrorists. They can also promote a version of Islam that does not call for war and death.
President Trump can do his part in urging these world leaders to make changes. The President of the United States has great influence around the world. Other leaders will most likely want to follow his lead in combating radical, Islamic terrorism.
He will surely make a bigger impact than Obama, who put the blame for terrorism on–you guessed it–the United States.
Trump’s efforts to directly confront the radial ideology that is threatening the Western world are a far cry from Barack Obama’s pusillanimous speech in Cairo in 2009, in which he stated that the West had been responsible for the outbreak of radical Islam, asserting, “The relationship between Islam and the West includes centuries of co-existence and cooperation, but also conflict and religious wars.
More recently, tension has been fed by colonialism that denied rights and opportunities to many Muslims, and a Cold War in which Muslim-majority countries were too often treated as proxies without regard to their own aspirations.”
That’s a lot of bluster. Obviously Obama was making excuses for why jihadists were attacking the West. Why didn’t he just call them what they were: enemies of America? Why did he blame “colonialism” when it was their radical interpretation of Islam that motivated them to kill?
Was it because Obama was an apologist who sought political correctness and appeasement over the safety of American citizens? Yes, yes it was.
Those days are over. Expect a stern message from Trump to the Muslim world, urging them to do the right thing.
Hopefully they will listen.
